The Role
We are recruiting for an Aircraft Engineer – Mechanical to support aircraft maintenance activities under the guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1), ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and company standards. You will play a key role in maintaining aircraft readiness through inspections, servicing, defect rectification, and supporting operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Experience
- Practical experience in aircraft maintenance or engineering environments (service or commercial aviation desirable)
- Experience working on pressurised or un-pressurised aircraft (desirable)
Skills
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow risk assessments and technical instructions
- Ability to carry out maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently to deadlines
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Competent in using hand tools and ground support equipment safely
- IT literate, including MS Office systems
- Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable with a customer-focused approach
Qualifications
- Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent (including Maths, English, and Physics modules)
- Human Factors knowledge
- Eligible for security clearance (UK/ITAR requirements)
- Medically fit to perform aircraft maintenance tasks
