The Role

We are recruiting for an Aircraft Engineer – Mechanical to support aircraft maintenance activities under the guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1), ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and company standards. You will play a key role in maintaining aircraft readiness through inspections, servicing, defect rectification, and supporting operational requirements.
 

Key Responsibilities

Experience

  • Practical experience in aircraft maintenance or engineering environments (service or commercial aviation desirable)
  • Experience working on pressurised or un-pressurised aircraft (desirable)

Skills

  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow risk assessments and technical instructions
  • Ability to carry out maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently to deadlines
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Competent in using hand tools and ground support equipment safely
  • IT literate, including MS Office systems
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable with a customer-focused approach

Qualifications

  • Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent (including Maths, English, and Physics modules)
  • Human Factors knowledge
  • Eligible for security clearance (UK/ITAR requirements)
  • Medically fit to perform aircraft maintenance tasks
