PMO Analyst
Location: Bournemouth
Working pattern: Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 16:30, Friday 08:30 – 16:00 - 37 hours per week, onsite.

The Role
We are now looking for a PMO Analyst to join our Programme Management Office and support the effective delivery of programmes and projects across the organisation. As a PMO Analyst, you will play a key role in coordinating governance, reporting and control activities, ensuring leaders and delivery teams have clear, accurate and timely information to support decision‑making.
You will support day‑to‑day delivery by maintaining documentation, tracking performance, risks, issues, changes and dependencies, and consolidating data into coherent portfolio‑level views. You’ll also help monitor the application of governance and controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and support colleagues who may be less familiar with project and programme delivery approaches.
This role suits someone already performing the role as PMO Analyst or Project Controller, or anyone supporting larger programme or portfolio delivery. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset and a genuine interest in improving how programmes and projects are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate PMO governance and control activities, ensuring reporting cycles, documentation and decision‑making information are accurate and delivered on time
- Maintain and update PMO and delivery documentation, ensuring version control and compliance with agreed standards
- Consolidate programme and project information into clear portfolio‑level reporting, highlighting trends, risks, constraints and resource impacts
- Monitor the application of governance, controls and processes, identifying gaps or inconsistencies and escalating where required
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities across PMO, programme and project processes
- Provide practical support and guidance to colleagues less familiar with project and programme delivery practices
- Assist with the planning and coordination of small projects or change activities, providing structure, documentation and administrative support
- Support business forums and activities aligned with organisational objectives and Draken’s social value commitments
What You’ll Bring
- Experience supporting projects and programmes within a PMO or delivery environment
- Understanding of P3O‑aligned services, governance and reporting
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present performance data at project, programme and portfolio level
- Experience supporting change control and configuration management
- Strong document management and version control discipline
- Ability to support planning, estimating and scheduling activities
- Confidence coordinating reporting timelines and governance inputs
- Ability to help stakeholders interpret dashboards and management information
- Clear communicator, able to present information and recommendations effectively (including via PowerPoint)
- Willing to share knowledge and good practice with others
- Collaborative, service‑focused mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience using MS Project and Project Web App
- Experience administering and interpreting Power BI reporting
- Familiarity with project and programme management tools
