We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Delivery Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of a high-profile Exercise Control (EXCON) facility. This is a hands-on, operational role embedded within a live training environment, supporting the delivery of advanced air readiness training.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Senior Delivery Manager, you will:
- Lead the planning and execution of a networked training and range control capability.
- Coordinate operational priorities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage a team of technical specialists delivering live and simulated training support.
- Operate and support advanced debrief and analysis tools used in collaborative air training.
- Act as the key link between internal development teams and front-line operational delivery.
- Support surge periods, including night flying and large-scale exercises.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop long-term planning cycles for training support, maintenance, and capability upgrades.
- Manage tasking for routine and complex training events.
- Liaise with internal teams to deliver enhancements and new service offerings.
- Support capability training and identify future requirements.
- Maintain procedures to ensure efficient and compliant delivery.
- Provide input into future technology strategy and service development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security, IT, and operational standards.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Eligible for Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
- Strong background in operational delivery, systems management, and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable in customer-facing and embedded roles.
- Ability to fulfil a reservist role if required.
Desirable:
- Experience working within defence or complex operational environments.
- Familiarity with air systems, communications, and training infrastructure.
- Understanding of planning, financial processes, and stakeholder engagement.
