The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join our team. As a Procurement Manager, you'll be responsible for managing our indirect procurement and will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing procurement strategies that support our projects and business goals. Reporting directly to the Senior Purchasing Manager, and working closely with Program Managers and Directors, you’ll be a key partner in driving value, managing risk, and enhancing supplier performance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and define procurement requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for projects and commodities.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms and pricing.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while uncovering new opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
- Draft and manage contracts, including bespoke terms and conditions.
- Support bid teams to enhance proposal success rates (P Win).
- Introduce and onboard new suppliers to meet evolving business needs.
Key deliverables
- Achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance (cash, price, delivery, quality).
- Implement risk mitigation strategies on time.
- Enhance supplier relationships through structured engagement.
- Deliver projects within agreed budgets and timelines.
Experience / skills / qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial procurement role.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Expertise in services and indirect procurement.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Practical problem-solving and lean practices experience.
- Effective stakeholder management.
- CIPS qualification highly desirable.
