The Role

Draken Europe controls the Engineering of their fleet using the ERP system Aerotrac. The Aerotrac Support & Training will be critical to the way the company use Aerotrac, becoming the key to realising the benefit from this system being used correctly.
The Aerotrac Support Lead will be the key member of this team, delivering a service across the whole company, controlling the quality of data on the system, adapting company processes as systems evolve and building aircraft on the system as the company moves platforms in and out of service.
 
This is a key role that requires an element of project management as the company continue to look for better ways to operate on Aerotrac. The selected applicant will also be key to building their team to support the work of the Aerotrac Support and Training. This role will require the Lead to build solid relationships across the whole company given the wide coverage of Aerotrac, it is the key to a successful Engineering capability across the entire worldwide fleet.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Oversight

  • Maintain full ownership of aviation regulatory compliance within the Aerotrac Support & Training function.
  • Ensure alignment with applicable aviation authorities, including:
    • UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
    • UK Military Aviation Authority (MAA)
    • European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)
    • Other relevant regulators as required.
  • Operate strictly within approved regulatory frameworks and defined privileges.

Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Support the Company Safety Management System (SMS) by identifying and reporting any conditions that may compromise flight safety or personnel wellbeing.
  • Ensure adherence to international standards, including:
    • ISO 9001 – Quality Management
    • ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
    • ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
    • ISO 27001 – Information Security
  • Maintain and apply up-to-date risk assessments for all Aerotrac-related tasks.
  • Promote and enforce safe systems of work across all support and training activities.

Aerotrac System Leadership

  • Establish and lead the Aerotrac Support & Training function within Draken Europe, developing processes for company-wide integration.
  • Build a centre of excellence for Aerotrac, including aircraft configuration, part mastering, and protocol standardisation.
  • Become a company-wide Super User of Aerotrac, developing deep ERP system expertise.
  • Collaborate with the Change Lead Group to drive continuous improvement and system optimisation.
  • Project manage system enhancements and lead regular software updates.
  • Act as a primary point of contact with the software developer, providing feedback and promoting best practices.

Training & Collaboration

  • Support the Training Lead in refining training programs and implementing process improvements.
  • Foster close collaboration with Technical Records to ensure robust configuration control and aligned working practices.
  • Champion innovation and efficiency, continuously evolving system usage to deliver measurable savings.
 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in ERP systems (Aerotrac knowledge preferred).
  • Strong project delivery and change management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in technical or engineering teams.
  • High proficiency in IT systems and tools.
  • Solid background in aircraft engineering and maintenance operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment.
