Position: Flight Operations Service Delivery Managers (FOSDM)

We are seeking two dedicated Flight Operations Service Delivery Managers (FOSDM) to strengthen the link between Business Development (BD), Programmes, and Flight Operations. These roles also support the creation of essential technical documents within a regulated environment.

Role Overview:

Position 1: Reports to the Director of Flight Operations (DFO).Position 2: Reports to the Head of Training and Standards (HOTAS).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Flight Operations lead, supporting the BD team in developing innovative, compliant operational solutions.
  • Manage the implementation of new capabilities within the Flight Operations department, including the mobilisation of new contracts and capabilities.
  • Author and maintain critical flight operations technical documentation.
  • Work closely with various business functions to ensure the delivery of appropriate capabilities.
  • Ensure BD and Programme functions are aligned with operational priorities and contractual commitments.
  • Uphold high standards in output quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
 
Location:

These roles are based primarily at Bournemouth International Airport, with occasional travel required for customer meetings and visits to operational bases.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of UK civil and military aviation regulatory environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with Change Management and Project Management tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of the UK civil aviation training environment for commercial pilots (ATOs) (for the role reporting to HOTAS).
 Experience:
  • Experience in a commercial setting, developing customer solutions (desirable).
  • Proven expertise in change management and project management (highly desirable).
  • Background in commercial or military aviation, with a civil commercial pilot’s licence (highly desirable).
 Personal Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong collaborative skills to create innovative and compliant customer solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
  • Leadership skills to coordinate diverse teams and perspectives.
  • Proficiency in change management to navigate complex situations and maintain focus on objectives.
 Educational Qualifications:
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent.
 Security Clearance:
  • UK National capable of gaining and maintaining Security Check (SC) clearance.
