Hours: Full-time 37 hours | Monday-Thursday 08:30-16:30, Friday 08:30-16:00 | Permanent

The Role

We are recruiting for a Director of Enterprise Improvement and Teesside Site Leader, a senior role responsible for driving business-wide operational improvement and leading our Teesside site. This position focuses on identifying and delivering cross-functional improvements that enhance performance, efficiency, compliance and capability, while embedding consistent, high-performing ways of working across the organisation. The successful candidate will also provide site leadership, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant day-to-day operations, and will work closely with senior stakeholders to lead change and drive strategic priorities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and lead the enterprise-wide continuous improvement strategy.
  • Drive standardised, compliant ways of working across the organisation.
  • Identify, prioritise and deliver high-impact improvement initiatives and business cases.
  • Foster a high-performance, continuous improvement culture.
  • Lead and deliver key transformation projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide overall leadership for the Teesside site, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations.
  • Hold accountability for site governance, non-aviation compliance and budget management.
  • Influence and align cross-functional teams to achieve site and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, including customers, suppliers and Teesside Airport.

Experience

  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide operational improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes
  • Strong track record managing complex, cross-functional transformation and change programmes
  • Senior site leadership experience, with accountability for safety, compliance and operational performance
  • Experience working within regulated environments and engaging with customers, regulators and external partners
  • Demonstrated success in identifying opportunities, developing business cases and embedding sustainable improvements

Skills

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence across all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to design and implement standardised processes, governance and continuous improvement frameworks
  • Effective communication skills with a focus on clarity, accountability and high performance
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align operational activity to business priorities

Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
  • Continuous improvement or project management certification (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, PRINCE2) – desirable
