Job title: Senior Stores Inspector

Role Purpose
The Senior Store Inspector will support daily Stores operations to ensure efficient and compliant handling of aircraft parts and associated logistics. This role is critical to maintaining operational readiness and safety standards across Draken Europe’s aviation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety First: Operate in accordance with Draken Europe’s SHE Technical Standards, applying safe systems of work and risk assessment countermeasures.
- Ensure accurate location, issue, and tracking of aircraft parts using the Company Inventory Management system.
- Safeguard Stores operations through robust security procedures.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage areas.
- Manage Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) transactions.
- Control, maintain, and issue company tooling and manage tooling databases.
- Oversee COSHH cupboards, AGS, consumables, and shelf-life controlled items.
- Conduct stocktaking and inventory audits as required.
- Perform Goods Inwards Inspection in line with company procedures.
- Ensure correct labeling, packaging, and documentation for all dispatched goods, including Dangerous Goods compliance.
- Manage import/export processes in accordance with HMRC legislation and company procedures.
- Operate forklifts to support Stores functions.
- Provide Stores cover at other UK bases and attend training sessions at Bournemouth when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Stores team.
Core Competencies
Education:
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (essential)
- Strong IT skills (essential)
- BTEC Basic Storekeeping (desirable)
Experience:
- Previous storekeeping duties (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Experience within aviation or aerospace logistics, including handling aircraft parts and components (essential)
- Goods Inwards Inspection within aerospace (desirable)
- Worldwide despatch experience (desirable)
- Part 145 regulatory experience (desirable)
- Familiarity with logistical tracking systems (desirable)
