The Role
Draken Europe is seeking an experienced Obsolescence Manager to lead our Obsolescence Management Function. This critical role ensures the continued operational performance of our aircraft fleet by proactively identifying and resolving obsolescence issues within the framework of aviation regulations. You will champion innovative solutions, liaise with key stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulatory and international standards.
Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to EASA, UK CAA, UK MAA, and other applicable aviation regulations.
- Maintain robust compliance monitoring systems within the Obsolescence Management function.

Obsolescence Management:
- Develop and implement the Obsolescence Management System Programme.
- Identify and resolve obsolescence risks affecting aircraft, engines, components, and mission equipment.
- Liaise with OEMs, repair organisations, and design authorities to deliver effective solutions.

Safety & Quality:
- Support the Company Safety Management System (SMS) and report any conditions that may impact flight safety.
- Manage audit non-conformance and safety investigation findings with effective corrective actions.

Business Performance:
- Deliver operational and financial performance targets on time and within budget.
- Provide expert consultancy on obsolescence issues across the organisation.

Additional Requirements:
- Domestic and international travel as required.
- Ability to respond to urgent business needs outside normal working hours.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management and obsolescence management.
- In-depth knowledge of EASA, UK CAA, UK Military, and FAA regulations.
- Understanding of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 27001) and SMS principles.
- Technical qualifications such as:
- EASA/CAA Part 66 B1/B2 Licence, or
- Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering Degree, or
- Equivalent industry experience.
- Ability to hold SC-level security clearance (advantageous).
