The Role

 Draken Europe is seeking an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager to lead the execution of engineering activities across our Operations and Programmes. This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the VP Engineering, where you’ll drive technical excellence, fleet reliability, and sustainable support across our mission-critical platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead engineering delivery across multidisciplinary teams including Design Office, CAMO, Manufacturing, and MRO.
  • Act as the principal authority on engineering decisions for programme fleet delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Programme Managers and Directors to shape bid strategies and technical solutions.
  • Manage engineering risks, opportunities, and regulatory compliance.
  • Represent engineering in customer engagements, bid work, and contract sustainment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across engineering functions.
  • Ensure delivery against key performance indicators and contractual milestones.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recognised apprenticeship or degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven leadership in complex, regulated environments – ideally aerospace.
  • Strong understanding of CAA and UK Defence (MAA) regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience managing engineering delivery in a VUCA environment.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Desirable Skills:

  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 45001, 14001).
  • Experience with evaluation techniques and business process optimisation.
