The Opportunity: Avionics Supervisor – Aircraft Maintenance

Location: Teesside Maintenance Facility (with occasional detached duties)
Contract Type: Full-time | Shift-based | Security Cleared Role

We’re seeking an experienced Avionics Supervisor to support the Shift Supervisor and Chief Engineer in ensuring the safety, compliance, and operational excellence of all CAA Part-145 and/or BCAR A8-23 aircraft maintenance activities. You’ll play a key role in delivering mission-critical services to our customers.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and supervise avionics maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with company procedures and aviation regulations.
  • Certify work within your authorisation and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective task completion.
  • Take ownership of aircraft ground movements and maintenance activities under your control.
  • Oversee hydraulic and engine ground run testing within your trade boundaries.
  • Support the Shift Supervisor in managing team performance, including attendance and timekeeping.
  • Ensure all test equipment is calibrated and up to date.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working on fast jets (e.g., Hawk T1).
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Medically fit for engineering duties, including detachment work.
  • Willingness to work shifts to meet operational needs.
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance and ITAR compliance.
