The Role

We are currently recruiting for a cleaner to be responsible for ensuring the general cleanliness of the allocated areas including safe and appropriate disposal of all waste streams generated in those areas. The role also includes aiding the engineering department with additional maintenance, cleaning and support tasks as directed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Fork Lift machinery within the Hangar environments
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
  • Supporting the Engineering Maintenance teams with other tasks such as replenishing high pressure rigs and trolleys, rinsing of aircraft.
  • Assist with the control of Hazardous waste on site
  • Carry out minor maintenance of ground support equipment onsite
  • Ensuring adherence with the Engineering standards and procedures at all times and where relevant to ensure counter measures or remedies are put in place to prevent accidents or risks
  • Conducting local driving assignments to collect parts, parcels and items as and when required and directed
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested by management within the capability of the incumbent

Experience / skills / qualifications

  • Ability to operate a Fork Lift Truck or willingness to be trained
  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Excellent team player
  • Good communication skills
  • To be flexible to meet the demands within the engineering team
