The Role
We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager, for a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering IT projects, with a primary focus on the migration of the current finance system to a new platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project management of the finance system migration, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, vendors, and external consultants, to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
- Coordinate migration activities, such as data cleansing, mapping, testing, and user training, to ensure a seamless transition to the new finance system.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track and within budget.
- Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management, steering committees, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate project outcomes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement, and implement continuous process enhancements to optimize future project delivery.
Experience / skills / qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably with a focus on finance system migrations and Microsoft 365.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage budgets, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Knowledge of finance systems, ERP platforms, and related technologies, with experience in system migrations or implementations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange, with experience in migration projects involving these technologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
